On September 17, 2020, Shaanxi Tonly Heavy Industry Co., Ltd and its subsidiary Xi’an Main Function Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd held a grand “Autopilot mining dump truck Technical Accomplishment and Delivery Ceremony at Baiyinhua Coal Company of Inner Mongolia” . The participating units include the Coal Department of SPIC Inner Mongolia, the Safety, Quality and Environmental Supervision Department of SPIC Inner Mongolia, the Science and Technology and Innovation Department of SPIC Inner Mongolia, and Inner Mongolia Coal Mine Design& Research Institute limited liability company, China Green Mine Promotion Association and the honorable customers and Partners of Tonly.
In June 2019, 5 units of Tonly I65 autopilot mining dump trucks entered into the Baiyinhua Coal Industry Company to conduct special testing of autopilot driving systems and rated payload operations. After more than a year of hard work, the driving R&D team has accumulated a large amount of test data and operating experience. At present, 5 units of Tonly I65 autopilot mining dump trucks have participated in the earthwork stripping operation and achieved autopilot operation on the main road section. They have been operating stably for three months and achieved a good result of a cumulative stripping of 50,000 cubic meters.
Based on excellent performance of Tonly I65 autopilot off-road dump truck, Baiyinhua Coal Industry company purchased another 7 units Tonly I65 autopilot off-road dump trucks this time, these 12 units of I65 autopilot off-road dump trucks will establish two groups commercial running by the end of Sep., 2020.
General Manager Mr. Mou made a special report on “Exploration of Application of autopilot Transportation of Mining Dump Truck in Open-pit Mines” at the ceremony. The report discussed how 5G communication technology and computing technology in the construction of smart mines and green mines establishing a deep intelligent network scenarios in open-pit mines, and providing the most economical and applicable solution with Chinese characteristics. The project became the first “high safety, low investment and large-scale” in the domestic open-pit coal industry. The pilot project for autopilot driving applications, advanced technical routes and the experience accumulation provided by the project will provide reference cases and contribute to the construction of smart and green mines in China.
